Who Is Silent But Deadly?
Silent But Deadly is a group that has been influenced by hardcore rap groups such as I.C.P., Dark Lotus, Soopa Villians, The Bravehearts, and ABK. The members of Silent But Deadly followed in the footsteps of N.E.W.L. Da Skitzo's mentor Nas by forming a rap group together even though they are brothers. The rap group The Bravehearts consists of G.Wiz, Nas, and Nas' brother Jungle, so much like them, N.E.W.L. Da Skitzo and his brother Kweschin Marq formed a group together. N.E.W.L. is more spontaneous than Kweschin, but in terms of rap skills the two are equal. Both rappers have a limited amount of people they can call "homies" and neither have ever had a girl to call their own. Fueled by such feelings has allowed Silent But Deadly to write songs with topics other rappers would not think about because of all the possessions they own, songs such as: My Hemroid Girl, My Trip 2 Da Movies, S.B.D., and Revenge. Most of the songs written by Silent But Deadly touch on the subject of girlfriends although neither rapper has ever had a girlfriend. When asked about this the two simply stated, "You'll have to wait until we record our song called Die Girl to hear more about why we always talk about our 'girlfriends' especially since we do not have any." Silent But Deadly has stated that even though they do write songs such as My Trip 2 Da Movies, which talks about eating floating pieces of crap out of a toilet, they say they can also write slow and relaxed songs if they felt like it but that doing so would not fit their character. Silent But Deadly says that even if they do find someone to call their own that they will not change their style of rap due to the fact that they despise commercial rap which talks about love. Silent But Deadly wants to remain separate from the crowd and be able to be noticed by the content within their songs. "We hope our type of songs makes us stand out more so that one day we can become signed to a real record label and establish fans nationwide," says Silent But Deadly. Until the day that S.B.D. makes it big we can only support them 100% on all they do. Silent But Deadly has also gone through many changes over the years, back in 2002 they went by the rap name Undaground Punc Suciety (U.P.S.) but later changed it to Save Our Souls (S.O.S.). It was upon realizing that no one trusts their quiet nature that they decided to name the group Silent But Deadly. N.E.W.L. Da Skitzo (which is pronounced NEW and then L) has also gone through name changes. In high school he was once called Roberto Da Killa (RDK) by a classmate who overheard him freestyle, later he changed his name to Not Exactly Who u Like after the suggestion was given to him by a friend. Well no matter what name they go by, they will always be the two talented Hispanic brothers out of Santa Fe, New Mexico who are trying to make their dreams a reality.
N.E.W.L. Da Skitzo
Born as Roberto Miguel Jose Tafoya on December 20, 1986, N.E.W.L. has been pursuing a rap career since 2001 when he began writing rhymes as a way to express his feelings especially after hard times in his life. N.E.W.L., which stands for Not Exactly Who u Like, has lived a rather tough life. His youth he spent alone with almost no friends and he never had a girl to call his own. N.E.W.L. has a temper problem which lead to many fights in high school years even fights with his own friends. Girls looked at him as a bully and so no girls wanted anything to do with him throughout his entire life. This rejection only lead to more anger within N.E.W.L. which resulted in him being able to write more vivid and creative songs. N.E.W.L. is very talented and in 2001 he won a contest that was intended for poetry but entered some of his rhymes and claimed them as poems. Again in 2004, N.E.W.L. won another contest for poetry, but unlike the first one which was a school contest, this contest was for the local newspaper the New Mexican. N.E.W.L. was awarded $100 for coming in first place in the adult section for a poem entilted "Christmas" in which N.E.W.L. only scraped the tip of his rhyme potential. Besides being talented at rap, N.E.W.L. is also a great artist and is known for his ability to copy a picture and redraw it almost identical to the original. N.E.W.L. uses music as a way to escape from the real world and credits Nas as his number one inspiration. N.E.W.L. owns all of Nas' cds: Illmatic, It Was Written, The Firm, I Am..., Nastradamus, QB's Finest, Stillmatic, The Lost Tapes, God's Son, Illmatic 10th Year Anniversary, Bravehearted, and Street's Disciple. N.E.W.L. has said, "Nas is the rap god, no one can touch his skill." N.E.W.L. has also stated that his favorite cd of all time is Murda Muzik by Mobb Deep and recommends everyone who is interested in real gangster rap to purchase this cd. He listens to Murda Muzik nonstop and wishes more cds could be made like this one. N.E.W.L. is also a very talented freestyler and owes much of it to his homie Reason. He says that Reason provided him with instrumentals during his senior year in high school (2005) and the two of the them would spend hours at a time busting freestyles to the beats. Reason enjoyed N.E.W.L.'s rhymes and had him recite some rhymes in front of his class one day. His classmates asked if N.E.W.L. would pursue a career rap because they told him he had potential, but N.E.W.L. never really thought of actually following through with it until finishing high school. N.E.W.L. hates all commercial rappers because they only talk about money and cars. He listens to artists who he says need more respect for their skills and because they are not blinded by money, artists such as AZ and Twiztid and Nashawn. N.E.W.L. listens to all rappers who are not very well known but says, "I enjoy liking stuff others don't like, it sets me about from just another face in the crowd. I like to be different I hate being considered like everyone else, I would prefer to be myself and stand out from the normal. I guess that's what makes me N.E.W.L. Da Skitzo. Once I know that everyone else likes something that I used to like, I consider it mainstream and immediately dump it in order to become different from everyone else."

Likes: Girls with dark hair and a pretty face and slim but not a skeleton, Fast cars but none of the new cars mostly stuff like the old Chevelles, GTOs, and Stingrays (he has his own 1996 Corvette as well)
Dislikes: People who are in love with themselves, People who think 50 Cent is the king of the rap world (especially since he can't be the king if he's doing songs with Justin Timberlake and then trying to diss Nas and Shyne saying that they're soft), People who hate Hispanics (don't knock my race he says)

How He Got His Name: N.E.W.L. was quiet throughout his high school years yet people knew not to mess with him due to his temper problem. He was constantly turned down by girls throughout his life and one day his homie said, "Yo dawg no one really likes you, ha. It's like you're not exactly who they like." N.E.W.L. later shortened the phrase Not Exactly Who u Like to the letters N.E.W.L. and added the Skitzo part to explain to girls to forgive him for all he does because he is "crazy".
Kweschin Marq
Kweschin Marq was born Gabriel Francisco Tafoya on February 20, 1991, Kweschin has been writing rap songs since 2003 when he first became interested in music. Kweschin has always been the "quiet kid" throughout his lifetime since he didn't talk very much. He went through most of his childhood wihtout very many friends. Kweschin always had difficulties expressing himself and saying what he feels so he mostly didn't talk at all. Kweschin enjoyed writing rhymes just for fun and didn't get serious about becoming a real rapper until he reached high school. He has been bullied and picked on most of his life for not talking to people but has said "I would rather not put my opinion in on stuff I don't know about because I hate people that always butt into conversations".
Hobbies: Playing video games, Watching TV, and playing basketball

Dislikes: People who obsess about the way they look and can't get enough of themselves, commercial rappers who only talk about money, people who think that poems shouldn't rhyme, and bad movies

How He Got His Name: Kweschin Marq got his name from the fact that while he was in elementary school when other students would pass out papers to the class they would get to his paper and ask the teacher who that person was. He calls himself Kweschin Marq because nobody knows who he is and he is constantly igonored as if he isn't there at all.
